Orwell’s novel 1984 is about a totalitarian Police State dystopia, and a period when most of the world's population have become victims of perpetual war, omnipresent government surveillance and propaganda.
Isn't that what we are experiencing today?

Governments and Corporations are not satisfied to spy on us and seize data about who we are, who our friends are, what we like or don't like and what we say or do - so they can engineer what we think or do through ads, and the manipulation of online data - the Big Brother spies are moving into homes, schools and offices; extending the Internet spying into household entertainment systems, appliances and vehicles.
Do you want your car insurance know that you were going 10kms over the speed limit when you were in that car crash? They want to know, because if you did something against the law like go over the speed limit, they can try to get out of paying out on your insurance.
Do you want your life insurance company know you eat chocolates by the bucket, and weigh quite a bit over what you should for your height? They want to know, because maybe they won't insure you.
It isn't liberty when its a goldfish existence, and those who spy on us overtly or covertly control the information we see, and what we can say and do.
Orwell's fictional Thoughtcrime has also become a totalitarian reality. Political Correctness is being used by the totalitarian Big Brother Browsers and social media platforms as a tool to suppress and control free speech and free thought. We are only allowed to say or think what they say is OK.
Totalitarians always think that the way they think and what they allow to happen is the only way. Totalitarianism like in Orwell's novel, 1984 - is the polar opposite of Democracy.
Anyone who thinks Communism is the only form of think that is totalitarian, needs to pay more attention. Globalism and Imperialism are also as totalitarian in think as Orwell's Big Brother. As in Orwell's 1984, Big Brother Browsers and Social Media platforms have become undemocratic tools to manipulate the masses.
Liberty, Free Speech and Free Thought are under serious threat.
We should show we disapprove of it.
